BRIANNA HERDMAN

At her first live performance, Brianna stood on a milk crate to reach the bell of her trumpet to the microphone. She performed four songs before her mother took her home when the bar’s kitchen closed. Now, she’s standing on the stage in multiple groups, playing trumpet, guitar, and lending some background vocals at venues across the Outaouias region, as well as playing at the RBC Ottawa Bluesfest with the band ‘Barry and the Blasters’ in 2016. The bulk of her musical education came from her four years at a local fine arts high school, and private music lessons since the age of five. Most recently, she has enrolled in the Langara College Digital Music Production program to learn the technical and computer-related skills needed to become a sound engineer and put all that musical knowledge to work for herself and others.

Brianna Herdman is a lifelong musician who has begun expanding into the engineering side of the music industry. A multi-instrumentalist, she uses her extensive knowledge of acoustic instruments and musical theory to help her mix and edit music to get the purest sound possible from any recording. With over a decade of live performance experience under her belt, Brianna has taken that experience and love of live music to begin live mixing, recording, and editing live performances. With an ever-growing portfolio and a deep connection to the local Ottawa music scene, Brianna hopes to be able to continue her pursuit of working with a variety of artists, and to give young independents like herself a platform to have their music professionally mixed and recorded without breaking the bank.
